Milton Springers Gymnastics Club has a long history of success. With 72 staff and over 1,400 members, the club has created a positive development program where both effort and achievement are rewarded. As a result, their gymnastics classes are always in demand. However, before switching to Uplifter, the staff at Milton Springers found themselves hampered by their old gymnastics club software. They needed a solution to match their expertise. About Milton Springers Gymnastics Club

Founded in 1974, Milton Springers Gymnastics Club is a leader in teaching gymnastics excellence to children and youth. Their staff of 72 certified coaches and administrators use progressive and encouraging training methods to help children build a strong foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle. Their training is rooted in the ABC’S of Athleticism: Agility, Balance, Co-ordination, & Speed. Using this foundation, Milton Springers Gymnastics Club aims to not only improve a gymnast’s capabilities but also brighten their minds.

The Situation

As one of the largest and most well-established gymnastics clubs in Canada, Milton Springers has a strong history of delivering meaningful and impactful gymnastics training for recreational and competitive athletes alike. Thanks to their long track record of success, classes at Milton Springers are always in demand. But before moving to Uplifter this high level of demand caused issues for their registration system.

For Registration Coordinator Cheryl Keegan and her team, registration day was a challenge. No matter what the office staff did to position their club for a smoother online registration, their software always struggled. This led to a flood of customer service calls as soon as registration opened up.

“Something always went wrong, and the phones would immediately ring off the hook,” Cheryl explains.

On top of that, Cheryl’s monthly financial management and reporting responsibilities were hampered too. Adjusting accounts never seemed to make sense using their old software. After many attempts to work with their existing software, Milton Springers turned to Uplifter for a better solution.

The Solution

After switching to Uplifter, registration day has been much smoother and the phone is no longer ringing off the hook with struggling customers.

“Everything is just easier!” Cheryl exclaims.

Uplifter’s intuitive registration flow is now empowering customers to complete transactions with ease, “customers are very happy with Uplifter,” Cheryl confirms.

Although some customers were initially in the habit of calling for help on registration day, Cheryl notes that her team has been able to direct customers to their new Uplifter website. From there they can complete transactions on their own and usually get in touch to let her know how smooth the new process is.

A simpler and smoother registration has been a great change of pace for Cheryl and her team, but the time savings have extended beyond registration day alone. With Uplifter’s batch edit feature, Milton Springers has been able to quickly copy over a full season and easily edit or update new season details before registration day.

This means that setting up a new registration session takes a fraction of the time that it used to using their old software.

These time savings now free up more time for Cheryl and her team to work on proactive tasks that help serve their membership.

Transitioning to Uplifter has also made it easy to manage and report on financials. Thanks to Uplifter’s user-friendly design, generating reports is simple and account adjustments finally make sense. Not only is it easier for the Milton Springers team to make adjustments on an individual’s account, Cheryl reports that customers have found it easier to navigate their own accounts too. And when customers are comfortable navigating their own accounts, they can take advantage of self-serve options like making payments, updating payment details and editing an athlete’s information. Performing these simple tasks can multiply time savings for clubs and help boost customer satisfaction.

Milton Springers is now looking forward to using more of Uplifter’s built-in features and plans to move their class reporting and attendance online next. Although the process will be new, Cheryl knows that if she has any issues Uplifter’s support team will be here to help.

“Uplifter’s staff have been very knowledgeable and the software is very adaptable,” Cheryl explains, “There is always a solution for everything we want to setup.”

Communicating with a large membership can be complex and time consuming, but Uplifter has helped streamline the process for Milton Springers. “Uplifter’s email communication feature is awesome and much easier than our old way,” Cheryl says. Using Uplifter’s built-in email tools, it’s now easy for Milton Springers to target communications to specific individuals, small groups, classes, or their entire membership.

Waitlists:

Milton Springers Gymnastics Club has always had a waitlist thanks to the high demand for their programming. Now, with Uplifter’s automated waitlists, their waitlist management is even easier. During registration night, Uplifter’s waitlists open up in real-time when a class fills up. Then, the system automatically notifies the first person on the waitlist as soon as a class opening becomes available. In this way, waitlist management is streamlined to help keep classes full.

Email tools:

Milton Springers has been able to simplify registration for all of their offerings including camps, birthday parties, drop-ins, recreational, and competitive programs. Thanks to Uplifter’s user-friendly interface, customers can now easily complete registration for these offerings on their own which translates into high rates of customer satisfaction and more time savings for Cheryl and her team.
